Fruit description: This fruit has strong pungent durian flavour, very sweet buttery durian, not a beginner durian. Very good in my opinion, can’t get much better. The husk is thick which increases insect resistance and gives the fruit a bit more shelflife, the husk does not slip open as fast as some varieties. A winner!
Packed with plastic foam and a weak solution of hydrogen peroxide for maximum survival. We use long ziplock bags so that the long durian root will grow straight if germinating in transit. We put 1 seed per zip-lock bag so that roots doesn’t entagle.
We have gotten 57 days of survival in transit with this method.
Sometimes we will use vermiculate or cococoir if it suits better for the customer.
Durio zibethinus does not often come true to type but having that said we know of many good seedling trees in our area. After all, all durian clones came from selected seedling trees.
